Fantails - Hawks Win

KIHL Junior Fantails and Hawks have won their respective Divisions in the KIHL Junior Finals. 

Hawks began the playoffs with an 3 - 2 Overtime loss to the Mantas, but managed to bounce back winning the next 2 games and advance to the Division 2 Finals Series against the Kings.

Hawks were pushed hard against the Kings but managed an 3 - 2 Overtime win in game 1 of the Finals Series. Game 2 was a more convincing win taking down the Kings 7 - 1 and winning the Division 2 KIHL Junior Finals Series. 

KIHL Division 2 Most Valuable Forward was awarded to Andrew Wang with teammate Goalkeeper Dale Brown-Te Pou recieved honors for the Division 2 Most Valuable Goalie. Most Valuable Defender was awarded to Kings Toa Mihinui. 

Division 1 Fantails began their Playoff Series run against the Saints with a last second Overtime winner courtesy of Lincoln Gurnell. This would set the Fantails up for a 2 - 0 Series win over the Saints to advance to the KIHL Junior Finals Series. 

Fantails would meet the Sharks in the KIHL Junior Finals Series in a Best of 3 Game Series. 

Fantails and Sharks put on an amazing battle in game 1 with scores locked 2 - 2 at the end of Regulation. Lincoln Gurnell proving again why he's the go to guy during Overtime and claiming the winner for the second time during the Finals.

The Fantails took full advantage of their Series lead and pushed past the Sharks taking them down and winning the Division 1 KIHL Junior Finals 5 - 2 and the Series 2 - 0.

Most Valuable Forward was awarded to Ari O'Connell with Christian Wong named as Most Valuable Defender and Troy Perry announced as the Most Valuable Goalie. 

The Fantails and Hawks General Manager Richard Wang was also awarded the KIHL Kiwi Cup as the franchise with the best regular season record.
